The Castle of Diósgyőr, which earlier belonged to Hungarian king Louis the Great, provides insight into the daily life of the Middle Ages. The first stone theatre in Hungary was built in Miskolc in 1823, and this starting place for Déryné and other famous Hungarian actors and actresses is revived in the Theatre Museum.

The Lézerpont Showcase is the biggest private collection in Hungary, where collections like the retro exhibition "Népszuper" * folk costumes of the Carpathian Basin * wonders in the history of optical science * disappearing handicrafts and objects representing the legacy of Socialism are all found here in one place.
